Subsidy For The Spaying Of Ninja, A Female Cat (Joyce Chans)

Joyce Chan is a student and she wrote to me on 18th Feb, to ask if we could subsidise the spaying of a female cat, which she calls Ninja:

Hi Dr Chan,

I would like to request for a spaying subsidy for a female stray cat. I have read and understand that I was to bring her to any vet to get the spaying done and pay the bill first, then fill in the forms and claim a subsidy, am I right?
So now here’s the story of this stray cat.
This stray black cat (probably about 8 months old) came to my house 2 weeks ago and decided my house would be her home.
Like all my other stray cats, i fed her everyday and gave her advocate drop on as her ear seems to be infected by mites.
As she was all black, except for a few white fur linings on her head, I named her Ninja!
Ninja is very friendly and she befriended all my stray cats in one day, I was impressed! She’s so full of life and energy and she darts around like a ninja, thus the name.
I am suspecting she was once a house cat as she really likes to go near people, unlike some of my other stray cats who flee at the sight of a stranger.
2 days ago, male cats from other territories started swarming to my house, giving the mating cry. I knew they were after Ninja.
My guess was right when a male cat tried to pounce on her, she dodged it and I quickly took her in my house.
I had to bring her to the vet to be spayed this very afternoon as i fear she will get pregnant by those male cat if I stood here doing nothing.
She loves to go near everyone, even my stray cats accepted her as family, no hissing sounds; they even played with her.
I have attached her photo to this email.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Sincerely,
JoyceChan

We have subsidised RM100 for this spaying.

Joyce Chan was actually applying on behalf of her mother, Jacqueline Liang Wei Fung.
