Soi Dog Fans in Melbourne – Please come along to our event on the 1st April
We need to raise funds to build a cat isolation unit at the Soi Dog shelter in Phuket, Thailand.
This is to isolate rescued street cats with contagious diseases until they can recover and be returned to the main cat clinic at the shelter and hopefully be adopted or returned to care by the many Buddhist monks who look after cats at their temples.
So please help us raise these vitally needed funds and join us in a wonderful afternoon of book signing, entertainment, raffle, silent auction, nibbles and a glass of bubbly on arrival.
Meet the lovely Helen Brown, author of the International Best Selling book “Cleo”, about how a small black cat helped heal a family. After hitting best seller lists in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, Helen’s highly acclaimed memoir “Cleo” jumped on the New York Times Best Seller List in its first week in US bookstores. Rights have been sold in more than 14 countries worldwide, including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Brazil, China, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey and Korea. A film deal for “Cleo” has been struck with South Pacific Pictures, makers of highly acclaimed “The Whale Rider”. A big budget is being set aside fora star studded movie.
Also listen to the beautiful voice of Gemma-Ashley Kaplan, star of theatre and television. Gemma-Ashley will be performing spectacular numbers from musicals such as Cats. After recently visiting the Soi Dog shelter in Phuket, the wonderful Gemma-Ashley has sponsored 8 dogs at the shelter.
