From The SPCA PENANG Animal Shelter - PICK OF THE WEEK

Hello everyone,
My name is Junia and guess what I am excited about? I just had my ovaries done! Well the vet had a fancy name for whatever it was he did but it means that I don’t have to worry about having puppies. Don’t worry—I am perfectly okay with this. It’s better for me because I don’t want you to have to worry about unwanted
puppies I would much rather be the focus of your attention all the time, you see.
Besides when I get really old, I will be able to remain happy and healthy.
All I have ever known my whole life is LOVE. I had foster parents for some time. It was a
beautiful home filled with so much love and care. I had my blanket and some toys too. I learned how to sit when told and how to stay down. I still remember those commands even now. Here at the shelter, it is just as great. I have wonderful buddies and friends and a special person who
always talk to me in a foreign language while hugging and kissing me all the time.
It will come to pass, won’t it? That I will go on to another place filled with love and
laughter, freedom and joy? It’s only you who can make this happen—please come and get me soon. Ask for Junia, the 7 month old female with the brown eyes and black hair.
Love from me to you

Good day wonderful people out there,
Aww..come on, I can read your mind so don’t be shy. Just say it—I am a
handsome dog, aren’t I?
Sandy– coloured with highlight streaks and a unique hair pattern with big black
eyes—yep that’s me, Kigan. I think I may have been from the Mount Erskine area in Penang. I am already about 3 years old and in the prime of my life. I am a mature dog now, and I don’t simply bark at everyone and everything. I used to when I was younger. Being small sized, I
always barked and jumped to assert my authority or else I might get
bullied. After all I was in the kennel next to this very huge black dog with a bark that would make anyone go deaf. But I know better nowadays. Being quiet and looking at the ladies with my big eyes and penetrating look makes them want to pick me up and I love being hugged and
cuddled. However I don’t really let many people know about this. I am actually very friendly and love to play but at first impression you might think I am a fierce dog. I do have a loud bark though and this would come in handy when guarding your place.
Believe me it would be paradise to perhaps lie on the floor of your living room or under the porch or out in your garden, knowing that that is my “forever home”. Please make it come true.

The animal shelter, it symbolizes for us,
Hope for a second chance and another place filled with love and care
or the end of a journey.
Which one will it be for us? That power to decide lies with YOU
We hope and we wait……..
