Updates from Chen:
Hi Kah Yein,
Just to update you. Connie has been going to DU at the area where he was said to be spotted everyday until now. After fetching her kids to school, she’ll drive to DU and shake the plastic container of kibbles which is his normal cue to come for food. But so far no luck.
Keng is unable to help because he is still in Singapore.
Will keep you posted.
By the way, Ofie is the brother of Fifie, the cat that was spayed under AnimalCare funds (http://myanimalcare.org/2011/09/19/updates-on-fifie/). Fifie is the smarter and more dominant cat, and she is doing great. Although she lives 100% outdoors, she looks happy and healthy because of the efforts of Connie and her 2 kids. Attached is a short video clip I accidentally took on 12 March. Fifie followed Connie and her kids to my doorstep when they came to my place to talk about Ofie. Her 2 kids have now devised an “attendance book” for the cats that they feed. It’s a small notebook they carry with them when they feed the strays and then mark their attendance on the book. Sweet! They are so precious.
Warmest,
Chen
Ofie, wherever you are, we pray for you to be safe and happy (and well-fed!). Of course, we hope Connie will be able to find you. If that doesn’t happen, we hope you will always be safe and well.
To all our readers, if you are living around the D-Utama area, please keep a lookout for Ofie. If you spot him, please call Connie on 019 355 6818. Thank you!
