I have been working together with PetFinder.my and Scratch to come up with a joint policy for multiple fund subsidies because rescuers with large bills have been applying to two or three funds for subsidies.
Here is our joint policy for multiple fund subsidies:
Multiple Fund Policy
c. Above RM1500 up to three funds, subject to a maximum total joint subsidy of60%or RM1500, whichever is lower.
2) The subsidy contributed by each fund is limited to a maximum of RM500, and the total joint subsidy provided will not exceed the maximum percentage allocated for that tier.
3) It is up to the applicant to apply to multiple funds, if deemed necessary. In the event that only one fund is subsidizing the case, the standard 50% or maximum of RM500 would apply.
4) The participation of multiple funds and final joint subsidy percentage allocated are solely at the discretion of the funds involved.
Examples (for illustration purpose only):
a. Your bill is RM700 – you can only apply to one fund and your maximum subsidy will be RM350.
b. Your bill is RM1000 – you may apply to two funds and your maximum total joint subsidy will be RM600. If you apply to only one fund, your maximum subsidy will be RM500 only. You cannot apply to three funds.
c. Your bill is RM2000 – you may apply to three funds and your maximum total joint subsidy will be RM1200. If you apply to only one fund, your maximum subsidy will be RM500 only. If you apply to two funds, it will be maximum RM1000 only.
From the illustrations above, it pays to apply to more funds when you can, provided your bill falls under the specific tier.
We devised the above policies to help rescuers as much as we can, and at the same time, with multiple funds, it won’t be so heavy on any one fund to pay out large subsidies. After all, we all work very hard at fund-raising!
We hope this new policy on multiple fund subsidies will be able to help more rescuers help their animals.
