I heard Derek meowing his lungs out and running up and down for some attention and refuge and friends in a back alley in the middle of the afternoon. It was hot with hardly any shelter, plus the neighbourhood he was in wasn't cat friendly. I called out to him and he came running to me willingly, as if relieved to find some other living thing.
I took him home and he immediately got along well with the other cats and dogs. Again I tried to get him adopted many times but no luck. He is now all grown up. But still as manja and demanding for attention as the first day I rescued him.
He gets along well with most cats as long as he doesn't see them as a threat. If he does he will hiss and run and hide like a coward.
