Meet Ellie. Ellie has survived many ordeals.
First, Ellie was left behind by her previous owners when they moved. Then, as she was unspayed, she ended up having a litter of 6 even before she was an adult. She was an amazing mama, always grooming one of her kittens, patiently tolerating them trying to nurse (even after they got as big as her).
As if she hadn’t gone through enough, Ellie was diagnosed with FIV and will require immune supplements to keep her in good health. But not to worry, with proper care, FIV+ cats can lead as long and healthy lives as cats without the condition. The condition is easily managed as it does not spread to humans or other cats via shared food/water bowls and litterboxes. Unfortunately, the stigma against FIV+ cats is not so easily overcome.
To add to all this, once Ellie disappeared for a week and came back severely injured from a suspected dog attack (lost her two bottom fangs). She battled through it and survived again.
Ellie is independent and likes the company of people, as well as her buddy OG, and her 2 kids who are still waiting for furever homes (Axel and Princess). Paired/Group adoptions are highly recommended.
If you are a good fit for a sweet, chill cat, let us know! Ellie is good at surviving, but she shouldn’t have to be. Also open for fostering!!
