This black girl with expressive yellow eyes followed me along the roadside until i had to cross the main road. A glance at her & i saw the 2 streaks of yellow mucus pouring from her nostril. The more i wiped, the more mucus came rushing out. This was the 1st time i saw her in this neighborhood...obviously looking very lost & confused. I brought her home intending to treat her flu quickly, spay & release her back to where she found me. I called her Juliette.
Juliette was brought to the vet the same day. Vet expected an antibiotic course of at least 3 weeks. Juliette took 5 weeks to clear her flu & finally vaccinated. The tiny ulcer on her tongue is healing since the flu is over, this will be a gradual process.
In the 5 weeks of caring for her, i came to realise that this super tame kiddo is not going to survive on the street. She loves human attention. Never kick up any fuss with pilling of meds & ate her food nicely whenever served. This is the 1st cat i came across where i have to strain my ears in order to hear her meow. I received tons of body rub & purr whenever i spend time with her...a lap cat none the less.
Juliette is scheduled to be spayed early March2020 & she need a vaccine booster 10 days after surgery. She is dewormed, deflea & toilet-trained (she did it by herself once i gave her a litter box!).
