Kelly appeared in our condo sometime in December2019. She quickly learned that i feed a few cats here in the morning so she comes daily for her share. After waiting for her flu to clear to no avail, and noticing her growing tummy, i took her in before she is being kicked out by someone. Kelly's flu was chronic, she took almost a month to fight off the flu just in time to be spayed while still on antibiotic. She is such a strong girl she healed quickly from her spay surgery. Kelly was intended as a TNR case.
While i care for her, she showed me her very tender nature, so sweet & manja she knead every time we spend time together. Never demanding & always happy to see me. Ate her food & meds without kicking any fuss. Her personality is incredibly pleasant & easy-going...a typical lap cat. She is so lovely everyone in the vet clinic fell in love with her. This made it heart-wrenching when it was time to release her, i literally sob.
Thankfully this lucky girl has an angel over looking her all this while. So 4 hours after her release, a good friend became her sponsor & we both wish to find a loving home for Kelly so she is back with me now🥰
Kelly immediately had a vet visit for check up, bloodtest & vaccination. She is tested free of FIV & FeLV!❤ Kelly was dewormed & deflea & toilet-trained. She still sneezes now & then, this according to the vet, is probably a life-long condition (though not life-threatening) which is typical of a cat with chronic flu history. One of my own cat, Emiko, has the same condition.
Kelly is a calico just above 1 year old, with the rare light emerald green eyes, largest pair of eyes i have ever seen. In Japan, calico is highly regarded as the bringer of luck & it is no surprise it is their beloved cat. The famous Manekineko is indeed a calico.
