Miyako (‘child of the night’ in Japanese) is a friendly, confident and jet-black kitty.
He was found as a tiny kitten with no mother in sight and given to another stray cat who had just had kittens who luckily accepted him into the family. He became the mama cats’s favourite! He loves his two litter mates and mama as if they are his own family.
Miyako lived a happy and carefree life despite being a stray, at the entrance to KL Sentral Station. This cat family, unlike most strays, trusts humans. They were the darlings of regular commuters, many of whom stopped by to feed, play or cuddle with them (see video for example 😻).
Unfortunately, the station authorities are under pressure to call DBKL to get rid of the cats at the station. Instead, the station duty manager contacted us to explore a humane solution because these cats are so adorable. Miyako and his cat family are in foster care.
He can be adopted alone, or as a pair with his closely bonded siblings.
