Halim66   Jan 21st 2010 at 11:07AM Sarah, yeap, almost identical with your Bumble B from the photo. Unpredictable still... can look but can't touch. Love so much to hold and touch this guy, solid body with super soft fur... I'm having a big problem to take him for a vaccine next week. Dunno how.. i try my best not to use any force on him. Last 2 days he went missing. Puas cari bagai nak rak, rupanya menyorok bawah longkang depan rumah. Terpaksa suruh anak i merangkak bawah halau dia keluar. My mrs. started to give up dah....

Fareen   Jan 21st 2010 at 1:27PM jgn give up bang. from my experience ok nanti tu. cuma kena spend time ngan dia byk and Cuba limit his area of play tht means jgn bagi dia keluar. just main dlm umah. cos if besar sgt his area, dia jadi menggelabah and byk sgt distraction. tu yg nyorok bawah longkang tu. dexter tu, lepas 3 bulan batu bole pegang tau :)

Just give him extra attention, spend more time with him..always approach soft and gentle touch and try to panggil dia with soft meow sound. And dont return him back to SPCA k..Just dont send him back. Good Luck..

Halim66   Jan 21st 2010 at 3:30PM Fareen, i'm not giving up anyway... Yeap, maybe u're rite, i'm gave him too much space. He made a progress for the 1st week, took his meal when u're watching.. then suddenly he made a U turn. Really sad to look at him now and i'm wonder whether if i've made a mistake... of course the idea is to give him a better place to live but he seems to be a lot more comfortable with his previous life....

Sarah, my other boys dont have a problem with him... but he'll run away and hide when they came too close...so of course he'll be lonely. Every night before i went to bed, i spent at least an hour "talking" to him.. feed him and so on. The harder we tried, the futher he go. My biggest problem is now, he's still out there!...i've got to check on him from time to time as he keep on moving from 1 place to another. Lucky though, the security post is not far away from my house and the security guard is helping...

Fareen   Jan 21st 2010 at 4:09PM trust me bang, I wanted to give up many times with Dexter. He's been a huge challenge and still is. duduk dlm cage ramai2 and pindah randah 2 rumah owners must be stressful for zack. Not to mention his history before tht. so based on myvexperience I suggest keep him in the house first. if u have to go back to square 1 ie keep him in a room first (but leave door open), do tht. nanti dia dah comfy, he will come out and mist likely he'll still hide somewhere like under the TV ke, sofa ke...let him find his space in his own time and meanwhile u still show him TLC. These traumatized cats take a while. I didn't even expect my Dexter to turn out so well, but he did. I do believe in time, once Zack trusts u and family he will show u unconditional love in return :)

Halim66   Jan 21st 2010 at 4:36PM I'll take your words Fareen... i've done almost anything. Last 3 days he started to scratch the windows and makes a lot of sounds to go out. I refused to let him coz i know it's goin be a hell to get him back but my mrs. told me... dun worry la dear, he's not goin anywhere..... Now he's out there... comot, kotor dan lapar for sure...Another problem, he's strong and quite heavy... already got a good, nice scratch mark on my hand....

Try to force keep him inside the house like what Fareen said.And give him his own small space until he get use with it..And use towel to protect your hand when you handle him otherwise you will get scratch again :).. You can give me a call if still cannot deal with him. We will try to figure out how to help Zack.

Halim66   Jan 22nd 2010 at 3:07PM Sarah, Thank God, finally he came back last night after 2 days playing hide and seek. The whole family went out looking for him, together with my 3 trackers (Rain, Romeow and BJ).. and finally this wonderful kids of mine managed to tracked him down. He was hiding inside the TNB sub station a fews yard away from my house. Another problem, the gate was locked and fence is too high for me to jump over. Haiyaaaaaa. balik rumah dulu la kena pk mcm mana nak masuk situ. Around 1am, i went out to check on him again... buka jer pintu rumah... JENG JENG JENG.. there he stood up right in front of me. Slowly i moved in and get his favorite food, lured him into the cage and WALLLLLAAAAA, GOTCHAAA!!!! Phewwww...lega. and best thing is, before we went out i told Romeow (he's the smartest and craziest), " Tolong papa cari Zack, cepat!!" mcm biasalah, mcm peluru dia berlari keluar bila bukak jer pintu...and he's the one who spotted Zack. This Romeow is so real man!!! Thanks to all, for your words and offers !!!

SarahMelanie   Jan 23rd 2010 at 3:01PM o..pandai balik? :) that is a good sign coz he start to accept that is his home..where the food and water is available..even he is outside as long as he know to go back in my opinion that should be ok.of course sometime we r worried about outside enviro.. My jojo is now outdoor cat..but after a week roaming outside i found out most of the time jojo is at home or nearby..and he is happy also with his new lifestyle.maybe zack just need more time..

Halim66   Jan 26th 2010 at 11:40AM an update... I missed his 1st vaccine appointment with SPCA last Saturday... there's no way without force to put him into the carrier. I don't think it's the right time to put any pressure to this poor guy but at the same time i'm worried about the delay.
