We found her abandoned in a cardboard box around the Raya holidays. No mum or litter-mates were found in the area. She had a bad eye infection and was severely underweight and malnourished.
Her right eye was infected and the cornea was damaged. It turned cloudy and has an even surface. Prognosis was poor, and the vet said that she might not regain any vision in her right eye. But we went ahead with treatment nonetheless.
It’s been about 2 weeks now, and we’re delighted that the latest vet checkup shows that she has gained some vision in her bad eye. Her bad eye now has low vision. Yay!
She’s has been recovering and steadily gaining weight. We now call her Chunky Monkey! She loves to climb and has developed quite the belly. She’s a healthy little kitten, who still has much growing up to do.
She loves to play with my other (also one-eyed) foster cat, Winky. (See Winky’s profile here:
https://www.petfinder.my/pets/93940/). The pair gets along very well. They play and hang out together, Winky will also groom and mother her sometimes. Check out their video below. Chunky Monkey is a loving and affectionate kitten who has a weird kink in the middle her tail.
Chunky Monkey is dewormed, vaccinated and neutered.
She’s looking for a forever home, preferably living indoors. If you have space in your home and your heart for little Chunky Monkey, then get in touch with us via email or text message. Tell us a bit about yourself and the household that she will be living in. Do note that we do home visits as part of the vetting process for potential adopters.
