I saw this kitten with her siblings and mum playing around the uni campus two weeks ago, her left eye was completely swollen and infected. I suspected at the time that her mum had already abandoned and wasnt feeding her, as she just was by herself as her other siblings played and milked with her mum.
For stray cats who are cared for and fed by students and staff of the university, all of the kits including the mum looked pretty discheveled, so i suspect the mum's grooming instinct arent up to notch, which might be one reason why this kitten's conditioned spiralled down this far.
Anyways, White Kitty (lets call her (Scott) Summer lah) is fine now, but she has lost her left eye, however she has not done the surgery to remove her eyeball yet, main reason being we should wait for her to gain more weight and be healthier than she is/was.
Even though she only has one eye, shes moves, runs, jumps fine and more active now. Shes litter trained, not afraid of loud sounds, rain, thunder, runs to her food, walks to you when called, wants to sit on my lap at my feet, at my laptop a lot. However miaos very quietly, only when i was missing for a long while or when hungry lah (obviously). She seems a tad bit pickier with her food now though, it might be a feature with some female cats as one cat i fostered had this exact behaviour.
She seems to love tummy rubs and grooming more than chasing stuff around and exploring areas (ive tried to encourage her curiosity and dexterity like all the kittens ive fostered).
Shes very laid back, highly likely both her personality and her current condition (lack of depth perception i guess). But I suspect if she had another kitten to play with she would be more active. She doesnt seem to be a biter (not that that is a bad thing). She definitely needs some social play to get her more active!
