Basil (female, about 8wks old now) was abandoned together with her 6 siblings by the roadside around 2 November.
A friend of mine found them in a carton box and manged to move them to a roofed gazebo nearby before downpour.
A group of dog lovers including myself were feeding them and giving them daily care since then while looking for forever homes for them. (Unfortunately, none of us can foster them as we all have more than a few dogs/cats and/or live in a small apartment...)
Apparently some residents had made complaints and DBKL showed up to take them away on 9 November morning while some of my fellow caregivers were there feeding the pups. So they had no choice but to take them all home (How lucky they were!) and we transferred them to a pet hotel shortly after.
So they are boarding there at the moment but we can't afford to do it any more. We will have to release them on the street in a couple of weeks and I really hope we can find them homes by then....
She has been dewormed, frontlined and vaccinated.
She is one of the biggest, most active and feisty of all and almost looks like a cute beagle mix! Once you meet her, you will know how unbelievably adorable, loving and sweet she is!
