Bernice is a rare creature---an honest, ethical politicat! (She's named after Bernie Sanders, after all.) Young Bernice was a bit inattentive one day on the campaign trail, though, and she had an unfortunate interaction with a car or moto that left her with a broken hind leg.

A kind rescuer scooped her up and brought her to the vet, and now, after surgery, her leg is fine. She'll be vaccinated and spayed shortly, as well.
