[Updates] Sniper is still looking for a good home as we find many prospective adopters did not read the full profile and did not answer the questions we ask. Please do not send us a message asking if Sniper is still available for adoption. If he has been adopted, we would have updated the status. Please DO NOT ASK US TO CALL YOU. If you are sincere, you would have read the instructions and answer the questions. Thank you.
[Important Notice] We find that many of those who sent us messages, did not even read the whole profile. Please read through and write the answers for the questions we have asked to help us screen through prospective adopters. Please do not ask us to contact you as you should take the initiative to read through and answer the questions asked.
[For Adoption] 1.5 years' old male Doberman is looking for a good home. Sniper has gone through obedience training. But, he has resource aggression and has bitten his ex-owner once until he required 6 stitches and they have decided to re-home him. Sniper has been surrendered to us to foster while looking for a good home.
We are looking for someone patient who is willing to rehabilitate him using positive reinforcement only. Please note that this process will take months as well as full commitment from everyone in the household. He has been living with us for a few months and he has been very playful and affectionate with us.
No young children and preferably no other dominant dogs which are less tolerant. Sniper is very protective and is capable of attacking strangers.
If you are able to provide him with a good home, please contact us to describe your experience handling dogs and the environment you are willing to provide him with. Please write your answers for:
1. Describe your experience handling dogs, particularly if you have experience with resource aggression.
2. How much time can you spend with him daily?
3. What kind of environment you can provide him with?
4. Is your family supportive of the adoption of a large dog with bite history?
5. Are you agreeable to home visit and sending regular updates to us after adoption?
Request for PM will not be entertained. Please click to send us a message after reading through the whole profile.
