I have known Sam since she was a puppy. A fellow Yachty found her alone on the beach in Langkawi and started feeding her and eventually a home was found for Sam on another yacht. Unfortunately this didn't work out, the adopter wasn't in a good condition to look after her and she became neglected. A few in the Yachty community tried their best to help take her to the beach everyday but when it became 'too much' for this man to keep her he left her to fend for herself on an island.
Sam would get fed when other yachts were anchored there and took pity. Sometimes there weren't any yachts.
Sam found herself a new companion and she was then brought back to Langkawi. She enjoyed a brief spate in her new home but was eventually abandoned again, although she was supposed to be taken to Russia with her new adopter.
When I found her she was wandering around in the street. I took her home and we began the challenge of introducing this strong willed girl into our life.
After posting about her on Facebook someone contacted me and this led to her being adopted again.
But recently he decided that he wasn't in a position to care for Sam's wellbeing to the fullest and so he returned her to me.
Now we begin over again. She has learnt a lot during her time in her latest home and she is just one step closer to finding her Loving Forever Home.
As I've mentioned, Sam is a headstrong individual. She is confident and intelligent.
She requires someone who has the time to give her proper exercise both physically and mentally.
She has proven to be very quick to train and is generally a quiet and calm learner; Sam also loves to play and she's a great friend to take to the beach.
Sam is in her prime. She is fit and healthy and full of energy, this makes her perfect for someone who lives an active lifestyle. She is also very calm and patient and easy to take out and socialise with, she often comes with to restaurants and patiently snoozes.
If you think Sam would make a good addition to your own family/Pack, let me know.
