Heard from someone lately, that there are 2 dogs who stray around at the bottom of the forest reserve, Kota Dsara. These 2 dogs use to guide or accompany those trekker to go trekking at forest reserve and are friendly. Am not sure if that 2 fellows are the ones that you're looking for. Perhaps you can make a trip there to find out.
