A loving cat n her 2 cute kittenslooking for good and responsible owner to take them home.a refundable deposit of rm50 is required for future sterilisation of the cats.
I lost my cat 2 weeks ago, and was just here to see if i could pick up a new one. My cat was found by my dad alone and hungry at 1.5 months old and we brought it home.
I believe in animal rights and view pets not in the traditional sense but as animals who we humans shelter and provide for; pets are NOT OWNED by humans. Because of this I didnt even give her a name, my mom called it Buttons, dad called it Pixie, and I called it Dawg. She is free to roam wherever she wants, we dont have a cage and its an open door policy. She goes for overnight scandals many times but one day she didnt come back. Three female cats in the neighbourhood also went missing the same week.
I call up this ktTan and she starts interrogating me. I hung up on her when she told me that I shouldn't allow my cats to roam. I controlled my temper and hung up, but had to call her back to clarify. She refused to answer my question.
I have zero respect for people who think pets are to be owned, and that they can keep animals from roaming free. If only there were proper enforceable animal rights laws in this country, I would report this lady.
Oliver (to ktTan, I'm the one who called you fromXX)
P.S. Who are you to ask for a refundable deposit for sterilisation (?). The onus is on the owner to spay the cat, even though all domestic cats should be spayed. My cat was spayed, FYI.
Vanguard, you may be at peace with the understanding that your cat may be struck down by a car or motorbike, torn to pieces by a pack of stray dogs or attacked by feral cats, poisoned by cat-hating neighbours, or any of the other myriad things that frequently befall free-roaming cats in KL. Others are not and do not equate keeping their pets indoors as OWNERSHIP and imprisonment. I have yet to see any country with animal welfare laws that prohibit keeping cats within a house.
Many of the long-time rescuers on Petfinder have very good reason for asking prospective adopters about their circumstances, having invested a lot of time and money to save street cats only to see them return to the streets to die shortly thereafter. Please be respectful of this.
