i am the owner for this dog and i am looking for someone to adopt this dog. I am often out as I am an ahtelete, goes for training and outstation always.. ...futher, we have to move to a new condo soon, we cant take our dog over. I would like to find a good owner to take care of my dog
You have such a lovely dog, are you sure u r giving her up for adoption? In our multi racial society your neighbor should be more tolerant! Fluffy is almost 2 years and probably attached to your family. Unless you cannot cope due to unforeseen circumstances..it is so sad.
Dog would not bark for no reason. Is your dog undergo behaviour training?? Dogs who for training will not bark unneccesarrily. Pity the dog.He must attached to you and your family.Don't give on him yet. Pls talk to your neighbour and find out what was their grouses.
Try to look at all avenues first before sending him out to an adopter. A vet told me that a type of surgery can actually reduce the loudness of dogs barking. According to him, this surgery is still not that common here and quite costly. I don't think this is a very good idea but i still think this is a better option that giving him away simply because your dog has got so attached with your family already.
well good luck, darren. I understand ur circumtances. my sis dog also bark frequently with or without her around and it really troubles us all sometimes. But luckily our neighbour is our own relatives and they understand our situation and din take any action. god bless.
From what I hear, there is a bark control collar which is use quite a bit by rescue foster home in oversea. When dog barks, the vibration actives a small shocks. The other type is when dog barks, the vibration causes the collar to spray up at the dog's nose. And they teaching the "No speak" command to correct the excessive barking problem..
I think its a pretty horrible device ... shock the dog when it barks. Not only are you punishing a dogs natural instinct, its also a cheap excuse for people who don't bother to train their pets properly. Dogs WILL bark, its their instinct. If your dog barks excessively, start teaching him to be quiet. Diff people got diff training methods. If your neighbours a nutcase .. its very difficult for you really unless you keep the dog in the house.
my sis bought that barking device for her shih tzu in singapore, recommend by the salesgirl in petshop and say all dog owner stay in apartment use it and satisfy with it. but after 2 days she stop using it. She say it will hurt the dog bcos everytime when the dog bark it will create a small electricity and give him a shock. Ouch!! so she threw it away. well it really depends to each individual to how to train their dog. Good luck.
My female GR wont bark unless she wants go to pee. Yes, try to talk to ur neighbour or teach ur dog the silence command. What a pity if u give up on her. I wish to adopt her so much but i'm in sarawak..sigh..
