14 June 2014: adopted by Flora Teng of KL! :)
Rhonda Rousey aka Sun mum the ginger cat was rescued in 8 March 2014 together with a litter of 5 all-ginger kittens whom were all adopted. Sun mum was on trial adoption but couldn't get along with the resident cat. Thus, she's back for adoption until this Sunday, 8 June 2014 (extended by another week by fosterer) when I'll return her to the back alley where she was found if she's not adopted.
Her details:
- Approx 4 kg as of 27 May 2014
- Spayed on 11 April 2014 at a cost of RM125.
- Dewormed on 8 March 2014
- Vaccinated on 18 March 2014 (RM40) and booster on 26 April 2014 (RM50) at a total cost of RM90
- Healthy, no skin issues
- She is toilet-trained to use the litter box and I'm using pine litter which is good for her (& human's) health and the environment. Her poo is solid and well-formed which is a good indicator of good health & good bowel movement.
- domesticated, active, friendly, playful and purrs when held.
- Revolution-ed to protect against fleas, ear mites, heartworms and intestinal worms.
- Please note that she can't get along with other cats. She can be rehomed to a multi-cat home if the adopter is willing to take the time and effort to reform her behavior. I would like to emphasise that she's still very friendly to humans, just not cats.
The adopter must agree to the following conditions:
1) The adopter must be a Malaysian. Our preference is for an adopter in the Klang Valley for logistical reasons.
2) The cat must be kept indoors at all times.
3) Vaccinate them yearly to protect against diseases.
4) Apply spot-on medication (Revolution recommended) monthly to protect against ticks/fleas/ear mites/intestinal worms/heartworms.
5) The adoption fee of RM90 must be paid in full as it just covers the cost of her vaccination as I would subsidise her spaying cost of RM125. The receipts and her vaccination card would be provided. The adoption fee would go back into my rescue fund to help the next needy furkid.
If you're interested to adopt the cat, please sent a message (via petfinder.my) and please share about yourself (Malaysian/expatriate? Working/student?), your place (eg If renting, landlord allows pets? If living with family/friends, do they agree to pets?) and your cat ownership experience.
Any juvenile-type e-mails without providing the necessary details (ie tell me about yourself, your place and cat ownership experience) required will be not be replied. Please don't just provide a phone number because I won't call/sms and prefer to correspond by e-mail first. Please also expect an interview by e-mail.
My apologies if the above questions seem to be intrusive or offensive in any way but we are looking for a truly loving and responsible adopter for the cats. All this resulted from our experience in rescuing and rehoming cats. Please note that there are no right or wrong answers as we just wish to learn more about their potential adopter before making the decision. Thanks.
