17 May 2014 update: Ella has been adopted by Shareena of KL! :D
The kitten was left at a vet clinic and since 19 March 2014, I've agreed to foster her in a home environment pending adoption.
- She has no tail deformity unlike most other stray kittens.
- She has a black top that runs from her head to tail while the rest of her body is gray. There are stripes on her legs.
- She has been applied with a topical spot-on on 18 April 2014 to protect against fleas for a month.
- Her ears are regularly cleaned with Ilium Oticlean, an ear cleansing solution.
- Her weight is 1.35 kg as at 3 May 2014.
- She has been vaccinated on 5 April 2014 and booster vaccinated on 3 May 2014.
-Dewormed on 3 May 2014.
- I'm feeding her with dry kibbles and she drinks water from a bowl.
- She's toilet-trained to use the litter box and I'm using pine litter which is good for her (& human's) health and the environment.
- She's domesticated, friendly, active and very playful. She would purr when held.
- Please note that she doesn't like other cats and kittens as she would hiss at them.
The adopter must agree to the following conditions:
1) The adopter must be a Malaysian.
2) The kitten must be kept indoors at all times.
3) Spay her at 7 months old.
3) Vaccinate her yearly to protect against diseases.
4) Apply spot-on medication (Revolution recommended) monthly to protect against ticks/fleas/ear mites/intestinal worms/heartworms.
5) The adoption fee of RM50 must be paid in full as it just covers the cost of their deworming and vaccination (the card would be given to you). The adoption fee would be donated to help the next needy furkid.
6) Adopt from location at Subang Jaya (Wisma Dicor, same road as Subang Parade) on a weekend (as I'm working full-time on weekdays).
If you're interested to adopt the kitten, please sent a message (via petfinder.my) and please share about yourself (Malaysian/expatriate? Working/student?), your place (eg If renting, landlord allows pets? If living with family/friends, do they agree to pets?) and your cat ownership experience.
Any juvenile-type e-mails without providing the necessary details (ie tell me about yourself, your place and cat ownership experience) required will be not be replied. Please don't just provide a phone number because I won't call/sms and prefer to correspond by e-mail first.
My apologies if the above questions seem to be intrusive or offensive in any way but we are looking for a truly loving and responsible adopter for the kitten. All this resulted from our experience in rescuing and rehoming cats. Please note that there is no right or wrong answers as we just wish to learn more about their potential adopter before making the decision. Thanks.
