Joey is a beautiful tri-colour Beagle. She was found on the street by another rescuer before handing over to me to foster. The rescuer could not locate the owner after multiple attempts. Joey has scars on her butt. She has permanent dry eyes and requires medicated eye drops twice a day for the rest of her life. The eye drops (Provet) cost about RM40 a month. She also requires eye ointment (Terramycin) 15 minutes after her eye drops to moisturize her eyes.
She has sensitive skin as well. She's allergic to chicken and she cannot stay on the grass too long (only up to 15 minutes a day). She will suffer from heat rash if she's exposed to direct sun. She needs shaded and cooling area to live in.
She is very gentle and friendly (with other dogs and small kids, too) - a wonderful companion. She is NOT a watch dog. Unlike typical Beagles, she hardly make much noise (except when waiting for food to be served).
If you are willing to provide her with a good home, please contact me by leaving me a message. Please describe:
(1) Your experience with dogs (if any)
(2) The environment you intend to provide her with (no cage, no unnecessary tie-up)
(3) Please state if you agree to a 1-month trial in which we will visit once or twice to see if it is a good match
We are looking for adopters who are experienced handling dogs which require special attention. This is because she was returned twice - both by adopters who have no or limited experience handling dogs. We do not want her to go through being returned over and over again.
Please note that those who do not describe the 3 key points will not get a reply from us. Thank you.
