She was abandoned in a temple when she was 2 months old. My family fell in love with her so we brought her back.
She was (and still is, when she was alive) afraid of a lot of things. Garbage trucks, thunder, loud noises. We thought maybe she had been abused when she was younger.
She was the apple of my eye. Unfortunately, she died at a young age of 6 years due to our fault. Her uterus got infected because we did not neuter her. We thought there is no necessity for doing so since we don't let her out.
When her tummy got bloated, we thought she might be pregnant because some time ago, a male dog came into our house and stayed for the whole night.
We brought her to a vet in Tanjung Bungah, Penang, and he said there is a possibility of her being pregnant without doing any real testing or X-Ray.
We believed him.
After 2 months, we noticed her condition deteriorating. She couldn't walk and wouldn't eat. So we took her to Gill instead, only to be shocked by the news that her uterus infection was so bad that they couldn't even operate on her without puncturing her uterus. No medicine can cure her.
She passed away 2 days later, and I wasn't even by her side because I had to go to KL to get my CLP results.
I blame the vet, but mostly I blame myself for not taking precaution.
But at least I talk solace in the fact that she has led a happy 6-years life instead of probably starving to death outside when she was abandoned.
