Hello there! My name is Beanie, sometimes the humans call me Smally, Peanut, and other times they call me No!. This is my story…
I was alone, scavenging for food at a garbage dump when a kind lady spotted me. The lady was so sad looking at my almost hairless, scrawny, black body and took me on a car ride to the vet. The people there fed me and bathed me and I was feeling better. But I was still itchy and the hair on me hasn’t fully grown back yet. And I felt lonely in the cage.
Then one day, the kind lady came and we went for another car ride! This time I was brought to a house with many bigger dogs and a couple of pugs just like me! The bigger dogs do not intimidate me! In fact, I love playing with them!
Here, the kind humans talk to me, hug me, give me good food, bathe me, sprayed this water-like stuff on me. They said it will make my skin better. They also taught me discipline and I learned to sit before meal time, and I know the appropriate place to do my business. The humans call me new names too like Clever Boy and Good Boy.
I can feel the humans are happy and they tell me I am looking so much better. I guess that’s true, I do feel better. I am not scratching anymore. The hair on my body has grown again! And the hair on my previously bald neck is growing, slowly but surely.
I love to climb onto the sofa arm and just lie there. But I always need the humans to carry me down. They call me Silly Boy for not knowing how to get down on my own.
My humans think you should come see me if you have the patience, understanding and commitment to maintain a dog like me, with previous skin issue. You know, it’s really not difficult. I just need to eat appropriate food as pugs like me tend to have problems with some food. And most of all, I need care and love (and food!) for the rest of my life. Wishing for my forever human and home.
