PuppyWanted   May 20th 2009 at 3:41PM i already sent him to vet. He had diarrhea 3 times today. Vet has given him eat diarrhea medicine. Now, he went back home and vomitted twice. He vomitted the dog food that he ate last nite. He is tired and dont wanna move. I called the vet and he asked me monitored diamond. If the situation continue, then bring him back for checking after 3 days. What can I do now? I scare he might have eaten something poisonous as my neighbour is very bad. He might give something to Diamond to eat as I saw him at my front gate yesterday. what can i do now ? Any advice ? If you're a vet or have experience in this, pls advice me... I'm worried !!

PuppyWanted   May 20th 2009 at 3:51PM yes, diamond actually diarrhea at the vet clinic and the vet saw the "teh". The vet shud be good gua as my previous dog visited him also (malnutirion but not his kinda diarrhea and vomit disease). This vet ask me to go and get vomit medicine if diamond vomit again and say monitor diamond first. if still the same bring him back to check parvo. Shud i go to second vet ? Pls advise.

baca882004   May 20th 2009 at 3:52PM Also, make sure to keep Diamond hydrated. That means he'd need to drinks water more frequently. As to how much or how frequent, better check with the Vet.

Chino, ya gah? OK. Am the paranoid type. Everything, rush to vet, call vet and if not convinced, change vet 8P. I have 3 vets that I always go to, in case need 2nd opinions.

Yes Baca i kena ,yah vet is the safty way.c0z we really not sure what cause puppy like that but really s0metimes nature grass d0gs will eat..cacing too

When i walk near him, he will open his eyes for a while and then sleep again. Normally, he will follow me if i call him, but today, he won't response to me when i call him to come. He rest and sleep only. What food should I give to him ? He must be hungry cos not eaten whole day d

baca882004   May 20th 2009 at 11:02PM Water is still very important. So give that. For my dogs, I sometimes make chicken + porridge. But very, very watery ones. Does he look hungry? Does he want something to eat but can't get up? Else, try not to worry about him being hungry. We normally fast our dogs for 12 hrs also before operations anyways. Should be alright. But make some watery but plain things and put aside, just in case he's hungry later tonight.

PuppyWanted   May 20th 2009 at 11:13PM Baca - He looked hungry. I think he wanted to eat but i havent given the food yet cos duno wat to give. I plan to give gardenia bread soaked into milk. but vet said dun give milk cos milk will make puppy have diarrhea. so i plan to soak bread into water and give him. Do u think it's ok ? Chino - the medicine is for him not to diarrhea. he din shit and din vomit since the 2nd tme he vomitted. he jst slept and lie there only. dun wanna move. diamond has eaten the 2 medicine when he was at the vet clinic. when he came back home, he vomitted. i wonder whether the medicine is suitable for him. since he no diarrhea now (touch wood first), should he be given the medicine? scare he might vomit after eating the medicine ... baca882004   May 20th 2009 at 11:17PM I supposed give a bit OK. Don't give big, big pieces. Mash into small pieces until creamy so that Diamond no need chew. Ya, no milk. I think milk too heavy.

I'll give diamond small pieces of bread and soak into water (cos he'll get the water while eating the food also), but dunno whether he will eat anot? If he doesnt eat, do i jst leave the food there and let him go eat when he's hungry ?
