On 12 March 2013, a temple staff informed me that a new stray male kitten of about 4 months old had wandered into the compound of Buddhist Maha Vihara in Brickfields and this kitten had an injured jaw.
I took this kitten (now named Sura) to Dr See's who examined the jaw and said that Sura's skin on his lower jaw had been detached and dropped down thus exposing his gum and jaw bone, and infection has set in. Sura was also having a bad flu and diarrhea.
Sura had to be boarded at the vet's for daily cleaning of the wound and treatment until he had fully recovered from flu and diarrhoea to undergo the surgery to re-attach the skin. The surgery was done on 23 March and Sura has to stay in the clinic for observation for at least a week after the operation.
The total fee including boarding until 29 March is estimated to cost RM728.00.
Sura is now very well, active and very very manja, and is ready to be adopted by a kind and loving family. Thanks a lot to PetFinder.my and all donors for their generosity and kindness that has made it possible for his recovery! Please view his updated photos below. Although he's slightly disfigured but he's a lovely boy for you to cuddle!
I'm very happy to inform that Sura has been adopted by a kind and loving family on 1 May 2013:) We wish Sura a happy life!!
