Jacqueline   Apr 23rd 2009 at 7:53PM I totally agreeed with your point on pedigrees who were actually lost whilst out wandering.Such cases applies to well kept local dogs too.We always advise Rescuers to act in ways to catch owners attention. They who care for their pets will be looking for them too. We have advised an owner whose dog was in United Garden, Klang Rd.Owner got a caller 16 days later after recognising it from a poster in Sri Petaling ! Owner even went to DBKL pound daily to look for her precious. Above all, the precious an ordinary brown dog with white markings was itself rescued from DBKL pound ! Muffy & Buffy are the remaining pups of a local bitch who sheltered at a hawkers hardwares yard. One of the pup was ran down flat. I assume the others Boys propbably are taken away.Mum is an ordinary white based with black markings & speckles all over. Worst still, her back was scalded by hotboiling water threw by an Indonesian maid.Rescue involved a group of caring bachelors who adopted her,the benevolent local vet & us.Muffy hair was just fluffy & buffy was short haired & black when young. They bloom to what they are with the care & food here.Infact, Muffy failed into a drain & nearly drowned. The team decided to act accordingly to the best of their ability & resources. We ALWAYS advocate to publicise found dogs for owners first & foremost.

ManekiNeko   Apr 26th 2009 at 3:19PM Dear DogzRules996, You will never know whether any dog is "the perfect dog" for you until you meet it and spend time with it! Simply looking at a photograph on Petfinder is no way to judge -- it's similar to "falling in love" with a film star or any other total stranger. Like people, dogs have very individual characters and temperaments. Perhaps you could start by spending time at a shelter or with some rescuers, getting to know a few dogs, and go from there.

Jacqueline   Apr 27th 2009 at 1:27AM Manekineko is right.A dog may appealled in picture. But,in choosing we must always consider the space we could have for it as well as our lifestyle. All these variables must match. Otherwise,your dog may become depressed and or destructive All is not lost.Dogsrulez996 did adopted a unique dog. She is a Miniture Pincher Crossed with the usual facial marking BUT she has a Cross sign in beige right spot on her chess with a black dot at the bottom of the cross. Above all, she is very happy with her and Wednesday will join her later in the week.
