30/01/13: We would love to express our utmost gratitude to all donors who've helped with medical expenses of Picca, thank you..Picca went for her 2nd check up and sad to say that her condition deteriorates. Vet said that her kidney failure had came to a critical stage and she lose weight very fast. We can now only feed her with hypertension med everyday to control her high blood pressure which also helps to control her weight and keep nutrients in her body.

Thank you all, what we can do now is to be by her side and provide lots of love n care to her..

Picca is a old cat with kidney failure. We rescued her few months back, she can't meow and make any sound since we first found her. After vet examination, we found that her throat sides are swollen and vet suspected that it's lymphoma cancer. but to confirm whether it's lymphoma cancer, they have to perform surgery to cut some of her organ sample to check and it's high risk due to Picca's age and her condition that time.

Vet suggest to monitor her condition, she took med to ease her swollen throat and have a happy and normal life but things changed recently..she started to vomit blood last week, she kept drooling and loss a lot of weights even though she eats a lot.

She went through lots of tests which is costly to determine the main cause that why she keep losing weight and vomit blood, it was found that she has kidney failure, hypertension and vet found that there're lots of protein in her urine which means her body can't keep any nutrients and sad to say that, she will continue to keep losing weight.

She was hospitalized for 4 days and was put on drip to treat her kidney and to see if there're any improvement, but after 4 days there're totally no improvement which means that her kidney failure had came to a critical stage..vet suggest to bring her back for check up after 1 week time to see if her condition deteriorates, if yes, we've to help her to put on drip everyday at home to at least control the sickness.

The main cause of the kidney failure might cause by lymphoma cancer but again, it takes risk to perform the surgery and if it's really the cancer, Picca can only live up to 2-3 months and vet can't help much on this..we're still considering whether to let her have the surgery and see what vet say on her 2nd examination.

But This time the vet bills cost us RM514 in total (that includes hospitalization of 4days, vet services, pathology, medication, ultra sound and tests) and we sincerely wish to appeal for assistance in subsidizing the medical bill.
