Ginger is purebreed American Cocker Spaniel from Champion lineage. She has a pair of beautiful light brown colour eyes and liver colour nose, which is very rare in Malaysia. She has sweet and pleasing nature, but the only problem is she easily get jealous whenever my other dogs wanted to get my attention too. She always challenge and fight with my another female Alpha dog wanted to become the leader of the packs. She doesn't want to surrender even she was defeated and injured.

The fights had been going on since last year July till now. I had tried to separate them, and using many methods to reestablish their relationship...but still can't avoid the fight 100%. We were bitten many times whenever we tried to separate them from fighting.

With a very reluctant heart, I have to put Ginger up for adoption. Hoping to find a better home for her where she doesn't need to fight with others to get owner's 100% attention and love. She has good temperament towards human but cannot co-exist with other pets. Ginger knows hand-shake and likes to play fetch and retrieve.

I will screen through the potential adopter carefully. Do expect me to ask a lot of questions and home visit after adopting her. She has never been bred before, adoption fee is a must to cover the expense in spaying her and to deter unethical breeder using her as breeding machine.

Spaying is a pretty simple op, takes all of 2 days for the wound to heal. It also has health benefits for the dog. My dog just had some minor surgery with a bigger wound than her spay wound, healed in a couple of days. No biggie :) the owner just has to keep an eye on it.

daniella, perhaps its best to spay her now, while she is still with you.

hi justiny,
y don u try to spay ginger first?
Maybe after spaying the fighting problem will solve?
u did decide to spay before pass to a new owner rite?
so who knows ginger will act differently after spaying and then she can till stay with u.
The problem u r having are almost the same as another member name hammy.
She's putting her shih tzu up for adoption too because of the same problem.
i guess.
:)
Good luck.

if you spay them, it should stop most of the aggresiveness.

And the rest, all you need is simple basic training to stop the fights
