Guinness was spotted by us 2 weeks ago, loitering nearby an area that we used to feed our homeless dog friends. He was having a big maggot wound on his neck and terrible smell came from it. We could even see lots of maggots "swimming" inside the wound.
Unfortunately Guinness was very scared of people and refuse to get close to us. We started to feed him since then and finally after a week time we managed to trap him and sent to vet clinic. Poor Guinness was so scared when the vet treated him, even after two doses of anaesthetic, he still stayed awake and struggled hard like a bull.
He became calm and friendly when the wound is improving and we've released him back to his colony on 30/10 to reunion with his buddy. The wound is not 100% recovered yet and left a little open wound but as we do not have place to keep him, we have to do so and everyday we're going there to apply cream on the wound.
Exact amount of bill is RM386.80 and we sincerely wish to appeal for assistance in subsidizing the medical bill. Thank you very much.
