It depends, as mentioned i may consider waiving (free) or reducing to bear minimum where all conditions are met and it is agreeable by both parties. (as written in the main post)
Basically my primary objective is to find the right owner, money is the last thing in my mind.
So even if the prospect is rich and willing to pay me a million dollars but if the prospect is a lousy caretaker or the living condition is bad, I still won't give her up to him/her.
**FYI I will send my pet for medical checkup prior to transition (this is part of the fee) and will provide the new owner her most recent health report.**
Agree, if I'm not mistaken I hav saw this GSD b4, well trained, pure breed flat back, such a really nice GSD... It is not easy to take care a GSD, so I understand the owner, hope she can get a new home soon...
Thanks Sken, yes this is my second post (first one was on 26 May 2012) after failing to find a suitable owner/environment.
I'm not really in any rush, so I will take my time to find the right family for her. So far my 2nd post has found quite a number of "very suitable" family, will have to make up my mind over this coming week and contact them on 30th Sept.
I completely agree that a high adoption fee must be charged since this dog is a pure pedigree, in her prime, in the best of health and fully trained. Potential adopters who refuse to pay or wants a discount should be rejected because they certainly don't value such a perfect dog or likely cannot afford to maintain her.
Wakaboom, I suggest that you look up some local GSD enthusiasts/owners network/groups so that you will find that passionate owner you're looking for. Good luck!
Hi TTDI, that's actually the main reason why I put a fee there, it is to filter out unreasonable/incompatible prospect.
If a particular prospect can't afford the fee, it already tells me that he/she is unable to maintain the upkeep of a GSD. (I just didn't wanted to spell it out... sneaky me)
By right, before any prospect calls me, they should already have a "figure in mind" on how much to raise a GSD for the entire lifespan and willing to commit to that cost, just like planning for a newborn child.
Thanks also for the tips, I will try to join some GSD network/forum for more options.
