Putih was one of the oldest cat I had. She lived for 13 years until she had SCC - Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a type of skin cancer which commonly affect to white cats. At first when I saw small wound on her head, I thought Putih had a fight with other cats. I brought her to 3 different vets, none of them detected that her wound was actually a skin cancer. Most of the doctor suspected fungus and sporo and asked me to put her to sleep. I was not going to give her up and brought her to the 3rd vet where the doctor took a sample of her wound and found out cancer.
The doctors can't give any medication to reduce the swelling, as Putih was very old and her immune system was deteriorating. It was so heart breaking to see her enduring the pain.
Now it's been a month now since the last time I saw Putih. She had crossed the rainbow bridge and hope that she's happy now that she don't have to suffer anymore. :(
