male cat from the market (whom i used to feed) came to me calling non stop. From his look, he is in pain and helpless.
took him to the nearest vet but i was asked to leave him there as they were just too busy to attend to him. I am willing to wait but according to the assistant, waiting could be hours. This is definitely not right! i decided to take him to another vet, a much more recognized and well known animal hospital.
After diagnosed, sporotrichosis was suspected but microscope unable to proof a definite answer. According to the vet, sporotrichosis may take months to recover. It was very kind of Dr. Tan to have given me a prescription to purchase the medicine from pharmacy and advised to quarantine him from other animals, wash the wound daily and stay clean.
So i brought him home and he has a small room to himself. The deep and serious wound healed within a month but stages become stagnant during the entire 2nd month. I decided to give him a bath as i have tried all ways to boost the recovery. It does gives tremendous result. Improvement were shown within 3 days! Overall it took about 3 months to fully recovered . and now he is part of my family...with other 3 female cats.
