You mentioned you are looking only for dog-lovers, not for resellers (or backyard breeders, presumably), but it can be difficult to tell what adopters' true intentions are. If the pup is neutered, you can be confident that he won't end up in a puppy mill or re-sold for profit, and anyone who genuinely loves dogs will want him neutered at any rate, as it's better for his health and behaviour.
