15 March 2012 update: ChiChi has been adopted by Carol of Desa Pandan!
18 March 2012 update: Popsie is her new name. : D
This toy breed dog has been reportedly roaming in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur (TTDI) for weeks and residents have been trying unsuccessfully to rescue her until 2 February 2012 when she followed a dog home after his walk.
A quick trip to the vet revealed the following details: female, healthy, weighing 3.5 kg, likely unspayed. She had no collar, no dog tag and no microchip.
As no one has claimed her to date (previously 'Found' petfinder.my status until 5 March 2012), she's now available for adoption.
8 February 2012: Vaccinated (9-in-1)
19 February 2012: Full grooming
27 February 2012: Spayed
She's timid in nature and would only be loyal to one person rather than a family. So, if you're likely to travel for long periods or studying aboard in the near future, this is not the dog for you even though you have family to take care of her.
She loves and needs long walks which was probably why she ran away (& got lost) in the first place because her previous owner probably couldn't do so. Thus, this dog is good for those looking for companion for their walks.
She must be kept indoors and not caged or leashed.
The adopter must be able to afford regular grooming, yearly vaccination, monthly application for protection against heartworm,tick/flea&stomach worm for this dog and understand their purpose.
If you're interested to adopt her, e-mail me for an interview. The adoption fee is to reimburse on the vaccination (RM70), spaying (RM202) and full grooming (RM30) which you would have to do for this lovely dog if you had adopted for free anyway.
