Really, folks -- there's a beautiful cat hidden inside every pathetic stray! It just takes a bit of care, love and optimism. Best wishes to Chikara in finding her permanent home! :-)

Vee20   Oct 30th 2011 at 9:21PM hi lyanna. i've already got 5 cats of my own (and 1 dog) they're a handful already. if i adopt any more, i may have to stop rescue work for good...also, it's best if chikara finds a home where she'll receive personal attention @ won't need to 'share' with too many other cats (like she does at my place). i'm sure she won't mind cause she absolutely loves people, she'll do great wherever she goes. i will ensure that she finds a sincere home, so no worries :) thank you for the concern yes!

Vee20   Oct 31st 2011 at 2:18AM hi rihaz. the wet food is also made using by-products, but according to my vet it's pretty acceptable (considering the meat & water content) compared to the kibbles (not healthy at all). just remove the jelly @ gelatin before feeding your cats yes? i find whiskas easy to use (compared to other wet food products) for really young & weaning kittens (soft and easier for them to chew). but definitely not long term, feeding along with premium & quality kibbles should be fine. :)

toffeecino   Nov 1st 2011 at 1:25PM the name suited her very well. In Japanese Chikara is power, energy and force. It is her own 'ikiru chikara' (power to live) and Vee's 'shinjiru chikara'(power of believing) that this 'ugly duckling' blossom into a beautiful swan.
