@rayquaza17, shouldn't you be studying or something, rather then spending your time here advising people what to do with their dogs?

Michael, Petfinder is all about pet welfare, and Rayquaza17 has the dog's best interests at heart when he encourages spay/neutering. No animal lover would want to see Momo end her days in a puppy mill. More info here, if you're interested:

72,find out the reason y we asking ppl 2 spay n neuter b4 handover the pup b4 commented. We don 1 some immoral breeder here to make them become breeding machine.

@ max. It is also cruel. How do you like someone to cut yours off? Especially now that earth is over populated.

ManekiNeko   Oct 27th 2011 at 9:38PM
Overpopulation and the resulting suffering is cruel, regardless of the species. Ideally, we control our own rate of population. If you look with open eyes at the suffering of homeless animals, can you honestly consider spay/neuter a cruel act?

Teikhim, Momo's listing is not the best place for this dialogue, and for that I apologise, but perhaps the comments will draw some extra attention to his listing and help you to find a good and permanent home for him.

Educate the humans then. Not take the easy way out. If our pets had a voice, what would you think they'll be saying?

Wouldn't it be more humane if we took some time out to interview the adopter and verify his/her credentials before allowing them to adopt? Rather then cut first think later!!

Michael72. Educate the human. Seriously? Even though if we all animal lover tries to teach this million of people, it would be quite impossible if I say so myself. Some human just probably won't give a piece of time to listen . Are you just gonna follow them and nag them until they gave up?

Interview is a good idea but you wouldn't know what will happen at the future. Thy might said they loves pets, want to keep them till their pet dies etc then later on just throw it away, migrate, use as breeding machine etc. there will be more animal that is being thrown then.

I guess there's no winning situation here. I have experienced first hand, spaying my dog. They don't suffer till their later years. It's not very nice. They seem to bloat up, normally after 10 years.

They bloat up showing that they are healthy. Usually after spayed animal, they will just be fatter but is better than not spaying as example. A bitch may have a higher percentage having breast cancer, and more. After spayed, they lower the percentage. There is good thing about spaying too.

Bloating up is that you overfed the dog and under exercise the dog. I have spayed my JRT and she has indeed bloated up until I monitor her feeding and as well as taking her for frquent walks to keep her in shape. It will do wonders to the dog and I always believe in spaying the dog.Now my dog looks beautifull *wink wink*

Wow, this has become a popular place for humanity discussions. :)

2 weeks ago we have a family interested to adopt both of them, after meeting them, we asked them to go back and think about it and come back to us if they are still keen. 1 week later they decided not to take them. I guess it's good to ask the potential adopters to go back and think about it instead of bringing them back on the spot and regret later.
