St. Bernard is not an easy dog to handle if you do not have the time. You may call or drop me a sms with your email so i can tell you more about Vivi prior to that.

Hi Scoopy. Yea I totally agree with u. I guess there are people around who don't understand animals. I'm hoping to get someone great to adopt her too.Cheers.

cwengyue   Jan 16th 2011 at 12:45AM Dogs are man best friend.Those people who complain of dogs are senseless people.Police use dogs to solve crime,when natural disaster occour,they will risk their life to save human being,so why people want to complain about dogs???

pugsnmutts   Jan 16th 2011 at 11:28AM hi there, i seriously dun think ur bf need to give away d dog just becoz of a neighbour complaining. first of all, wat is d basis of the complaint? is d dog being a nuisance to d neighbor? is d dog barking a lot? is d dog's compound dirty with pee n poo? is d dog without a dog license? wat did dbkl do when they went to the house? just becoz of a neighbour who doesnt like dogs, doesnt mean ur bf has to give up his dog. as long as d dog is kept properly, n not disturbing d neighbour, wat is there to complain? dun get bullied by this neighbour. pls ask ur bf to rethink his decision. all d best.

sumathi   Jan 16th 2011 at 5:45PM Hi, i really think that ur bf should not give up to soon just because someone complain.If ur bf has everything like a cage, the dog collar with a license, clean place then why worried about others. What did the DBKL told ur bf. Ask him to check out all his rights and ways to keep his buddy . How sure is ur bf that the new master will not have the same type of neighbour . Pls dont let ur next door people to step on you. Pls think about it again. Anyway good luck.

doglove83   Jan 16th 2011 at 8:12PM Appreciate all the comments and supports. As a matter of fact, the neighbours had been complaining for the past 2 years. This is not good for either of us, the neighbours or even Vivi. There is no problem with the license and such, but there is no cage for Vivi. Apart from that, she does have some minor skin problem and the weather makes her sweat more resulting in some odour issue, which is rather common in dogs when they sweat. However, this is something that can be managed over a bath. I don't think it's good to cage up such a huge dog. Vivi deserves to be free to roam around. We went to PAWS and also contacted furryfriends before and by looking at the conditions, we just can't let Vivi end up in such a place. She will not survive. So we continued to keep her as long as we could. But recently the harassment is getting worse so we think the best for Vivi is to put her up for adoption.

yenyen79   Jan 17th 2011 at 8:18AM Harassment??? You mean your neighbour threatened you??? Suggest you report to police if your neighbour threatened you. No point giving the dog away cos its wont help u to peace with this neighbour.

doglove83   Jan 24th 2011 at 10:00PM Hi Guys, thank you for all the support. Sorry to say,Felix and Suresh but Vivi has just been adopted. We believe that her new owner has the criteria and environment that will suit Vivi's well being. Everyone, we are proud to announce that Vivi has found a new trustworthy st bernard owner by the name of Alan. (Thank you Alan and family!) Although it's a tough decision to let her go, but I believe she will be in good hands. We hereby wish them a good life together and many years of happiness to come.
