LillyRahim   Jan 16th 2024 at 12:00AM Usually for orphaned kittens, if they’re under 8 weeks it’s better to get in touch with a vet and take care of them until they’re stable coz without their mommy’s milk during week 1, their immunity is really low. leaving them at the vet might be more of a risk for them coz infection rate would be higher. Can watch kittenlady on youtube to know what you need in order to take care of a newborn orphaned kittens. Priority is to keep them warm (i used hot water bottle and replace the hot water every 2-3 hours) then feed them kitten milk replacer (goat milk only) and make sure their potty time goes well (need to help stimulate them to pee/poop).

LillyRahim   Jan 16th 2024 at 12:11AM if the kitten had managed to get lil bit of milk from the sick mommy cat, she might have already been infected; increasing her fatal rate. I’m sorry to hear that but you’ve tried your best.
