Did the previous adopter say she feared the cat would cause health problems during her pregnancy, or did she just not have enough time for him anymore? Many women hear the rumour that exposure to cats during pregnancy can cause problems, and sadly, many of them get rid of their cats unnecessarily. If you think an expectant mother is giving up a cat needlessly, you might direct her to this forum post, which links to others: http://forums.petfinder.my/showthread.php?t=5361&highlight=pregnant Basically, cats pose next to no health threat to expectant mother or baby. Vee20   Mar 11th 2011 at 10:47AM manekineko: hi amanda. showing this forum post to the ex-owner was the first idea that popped into my head at the time, but she also mentioned that keeping 3 cats at home has become too much of a burden for her. she decided to keep her 5 year old persian and surrendered both rascal and his female friend to me (her name is minnie and she's currently recovering from spaying). i would've taken only rascal if it weren't for her convincing me that the two are inseperable. i've got my fingers crossed for his successful adoption. thank you so much for wishing him luck!

Vee20   Mar 11th 2011 at 1:21PM toffeecino: he most definitely is, not to mention his sensitive and gentle character. always rushes over to 'manja' with you when you call out or greet him, and his loud purring (he sounds like a motor engine!) will help calm anyone's day.

nightshade   Apr 12th 2011 at 12:27PM cisss!!! that 'pjud' guy asked for my kitten last week!!! n thank god i didn't give her up....... + he's full of craps..... he said to book the kitten (snowy) for him, but then remained silence for a week, n never reply my sms's!!! at least let me know that he don't want to adopt snowy, so that i don't have to wait for him to reply my sms's!!! so that i can give snowy to people who really want to adopt her!!! p.s. i'm sorry for ur lost...
