Lily was a stray cat having been living along the office corridor since 1997. Along the years, a kind lady had been feeding her. I came to know Lily just a about a year ago when she gave birth to a few kitties. Took her to the vet for spaying but unfortunately due to her age it was risky for her to undergo surgery. She currently has mouth ulcer and plak which makes it difficult for her to eat. The lady who had been feeding her passed away recently and her colleague (the boss) wanted to have Lily euthanised or "shipped away". I couldn't let it happen and decided to take Lily home. But I must say that taking care of an old cat is very challenging and requires a lot of patience.Firstly, Lily cannot eat on her own due to the ulcer. Secondly, she has upper resporatory problem which makes her difficult to breathe especially on cold days.
The reason why Lily is not vaccinated is because it may compromise on her already fragile immune system.....after all she has lived til this age.
My only wish for her is to be happy in her golden years and i try my very best.
