This is Kobe ❤️
I could go on and on about this happy, sweet, affectionate, big energy and extroverted being of a cat, but that would be impossible for me to fit here without it turning into a thesis. Though there really is so much to say about this sweet boy, I’ll start off by saying that he’s got such a huge personality, and you’d know what I’m talking about if you were lucky enough to have spent time with him.
Now, the nitty gritty stuff - His Bio.
Kobe is a Male kitten currently living at home with us within the Klang Valley. He’s been estimated to be no more than 5 months of age by our vet. Speaking of vets, he’s been de-ticked, dewormed, has recovered from a fungal and ear mites situation, done his second dose of vaccines (another dose has been scheduled for the 4th of January) and will most definitely be neutered when the time comes for it. He’s also had a full blood workup done, is FIV/FELV negative and is medically Sound in every way! This tabby-bellied baby has got a short to medium-ish coat on his tubby body and he last weighed in at about 2kg’s with a lot more room to grow.
& now, His Story. Sweet Boy Kobe was dumped (sadly a phenomenon we see so much of these days) in the compound of our condo one late evening. I'm sure of it because I saw it happen. We then tried to get to him but ultimately failed to locate him that very night. We'd call out for him everyday as we made our way back home and couple of days later, we got a little Meow back. We spent two hours trying to coax him from a deep ditch beyond our reach but we failed at that, too. Two weeks had passed without any sign of him and I took comfort in the fact that maybe someone got to him and that He's found Home. Fast forward to the following Monday - I headed down to get my lunch delivery and there he was, down at my feet, just looking at me. The rest, as they say, was history! HisStory in the making, really. Despite his circumstances, he warmed up to us in no time and has turned out to be one the most lovey buggy soul of a kitty that I’ve come across in a long while.
If you’ve made in this far into my little essay about Kobe, I take it that you’d like to know what he’s like. Before I go into it - Bits and pieces of him, our everyday and how he loves definitely come through in the photos and videos I’ve documented of him since Day One. You can access our documented memories over at @fluffysayangs on Instagram under the Kobe, Baby highlights tab. (www.instagram.com/fluffysayangs)
Kobe is a sweet boy and it shows in the little, everyday moments he shares with us. Like all cats, he came with a built-in potty training software and took to his litter within a day. The Kitten Energy is real with this one and with proper integration, he’d probably thrive in a household with another cat/playmate. Like most kittens, he LOVES being at play so for every ounce of kisses, head butts and cuddles he gives out, he’s got equal amounts of zoomies to boot. We’ve also learnt that Kobe is a social baby. He’s met so many people throughout his time with us and he loves people and would thrive on quality time with his human. Kobe is absolutely the most confident kitty I’ve met.
Attached with this love note for him is a collective of photos and videos taken over the past months (which don’t do him justice at all!) that hopefully shows you what an amazing cat he’d be. More can be seen over @fluffysayangs on Instagram. Rescuing and fostering him has been nothing buy pure joy, and all I want is for him to go to a Home that he deserves, with people who deserve him and what he can give you ❤️
& Now, The Important Part. Facts
KOBE NEEDS A SAFE ENVIRONMENT. He is to be kept indoors. We don’t believe in free-roaming cats around here. This also would mean your home should be cat-proofed. I really don’t want anymore adopters telling me that their cats fell out the window or balcony. We take this very seriously.
KOBE’S HEALTH & WELLBEING IS IMPORTANT. He has to be neutered when the time comes for it. The very same goes for the upkeep of his vaccination routines and tending to his medical needs through the years.
PETS ARE FAMILY, and we mean this in every way. Please understand that Adopting him means that you are committed to his lifetime care which revolves around proper food, healthcare, love and more. It’s a 15-20 year (or more, if we’re lucky!) commitment and we don’t take this lightly.
KOBE, LIKE ALL CATS YOU BRING INTO YOUR FAMILY, NEED YOUR TIME. It's only right to remind you that Kobe will need time, effort and patience to be integrated into your family & home.
AN INTERVIEW WILL BE CONDUCTED and a formal adoption form will be sent out for you to fill should you be keen on adopting Kobe. We mean well.
Note : I put up a small adoption fee which will be used for neutering, spaying and vaccinations for other rescue cases. All proceeds will go to Allergic Rescuers KL.
Though the time has come for his adoption, we’re in no rush and doing everything we can to ensure that his future humans love him as much as he’ll love them, and he’s got so much love to give at that. For now, he’s safe, happy, rolling in bed and so loved at home with us.
My name is Jasmine, and if Kobe pulls on your heartstrings as much as he does mine, you can reach out to me anytime. I’ll always be here for Kobe, for you ❤️
