Introducing Perilla, our blue eyed beauty!
Rilla, as she’s affectionately called, was a stray cat at our teammate's condo. One day she showed up with some nasty looking puncture wounds (swipe to see her glow up!). Even though our teammate's ark was full, she couldn’t say no to helping an animal in need.
As it turns out, Rilla did indeed need to be rescued. She tested positive for Feline Leukemia aka, FeLV. This is a virus that suppresses her immune system and means that she must be an indoor, solo cat.
FeLV+ cats can live happy, healthy lives just like other cats. The biggest difference is that they cannot mingle with FeLV- cats, since it can be transmitted through saliva.
Rilla is a sweetheart who has so much love to give. She’s an excellent biscuit maker, loves chasing toys and wants nothing more than a home to call her own.
Rilla is around 2 years old, vaccinated, deflead, spayed and FIV-/FeLV+. She will be retested for FIV in the coming months due to her wounds when she was found.
If you're interested in Perilla, please WHATSAPP us on the number provided. We are very responsive on WhatsApp, SMS, e-mail, Facebook and Instagram but we won't be seeing comments left here.
We do have a short application process. We also insist that all cats adopted from us be indoor cats and spayed/neutered when old enough. If you would like to learn more about our work, please check us out on Instagram: @ allergic rescuers kl or on Facebook: Allergic Rescuers KL. Thank you for considering adoption!
