When i first met Airi on the street, she was still wearing a collar. She had mange, a very itchy skin condition. This condition could be easily treated, however her ex-owner has chosen another way, abandonment.
I have spayed Airi & treated her skin condition. Complete blood tests were carried out & she is indeed a very healthy cat. She was also tested FIV/Felv negative with SNAP kit.
Initially, Airi did not like to be hold, very afraid of the hand or any sudden movements, tends to hesitantly nib a little too hard on the feet & swiped tentatively at the hand whenever she was uncertain.
Over the weeks, Airi has become more affectionate & playful as she feels more comfortable & secured. She now enjoy some (not prolonged) cuddles & always answer whenever she is called. When she wants sayang, she just plong herself on the floor, wiggles & meow cutely at you...Now she even sleeps with her tummy facing upwards.
One of the loveliest thing i find about Airi is her behaviour in playing tag. While i was not looking, she will hop out suddenly like a bunny & touched my legs with her front paws then hop off again. She is still not a lap cat...i cannot tell if she will be one in the future when she spend more time with her family.
With other cats, she is still socially awkward. I can tell that she wishes to play with them but she chased too hard so all the cats started running away from her. She is not aggressive, she could tolerates many hours with the cats without any fur-flying incident. Her family must be willing to teach her & give her time. Airi is a smart gal, she learn the "sit down" command within 2 days when she was offered my home made dehydrated treats (her favorite).
Airi is a heterochromia - her left eye is blue & right eye is olive in color but she is not deaf. She has pink nose & her right ear was tipped (clumsily by the vet) when she was spayed as a mark that she is neutered.
Spayed. vaccinated, deflea. deworm. toilet trained. FIV/Felv negative. blood tests result all good. good appetite. on 100% Zealandia can food, DMG immune booster, Maximus Pro Gi probiotic & fish oil.
