Chanel is a very sweet and loving cat. She adores being cuddled and having her tummy tickled, and will give you a great massage as she kneads you in turn. Chanel loves attention! She would thrive in a household where she is the only cat, and would be perfect for any household, from a single person to a family with children. Chanel is a house cat and must be kept indoors, as she has never lived outside.

Chanel's original owners left her in a pet shop for boarding with her brother, but then they left the country without claiming her back. She was recorded as an American Shorthair breed, but of course the owners did not leave her papers with the pet shop, so there is no written evidence of her pedigree. Her breed is known for being stocky and muscular, with a thick, dense coat and a lovely broad face, just like Chanel. American Shorthairs can live as long as 20 years.
