Meet Annie!
Around 1 year young, Annie is such a beautiful soul - incredibly friendly, she craves human touch and cuddles, and will give you kissses, rubs and purrs in return for lots of strokes and lap time! Annie is a big foodie and loves her wet food - if you’re late for dinner, she won’t be happy! She isn’t such a fan of dry kibbles (we totally get it Annie, they just are not as good are they!?) but will gobble down fish and chicken alike. Annie is a calm cat who is a great companion for someone who spends lots of time at home. She is not hugely playful but can get along well with other cats following an integration period. If you’re looking for a calm cat who loves company but doesn’t require lots of playtime, Annie is perfect for you.
Annie has been spayed and vaccinated. She is a little skinny but healthy.
Annie and Lily (another cat we have for adoption on a different post) were spotted by one of our teammates while she was on the way to the vet with another cat. The cats were snuggled up in a 2 storey cage next to a food stall with a clean litter box and some boiled chicken to eat. They were clearly being taken care of as well as possible and were very healthy-looking. After speaking to the stall owner, we found out that a nearby resident had dumped the cats there as he had too many cats in his home. Worried for the cats’ safety next to a busy road, the stall owner had decided to cage them and was very kindly doing her best to take care of them.
The lady knew the owner of the cats and directed us towards his home. Upon speaking to the young man, we were very disappointed to find out that he had many unneutered cats in his home, had no intentions to neuter them (despite us offering to pay to neuter all of them for him) and was planning to continue to discard or adopt out any new kittens born. Despite our pleas, offer of support and later frustration, he refused to have his mind changed. We shall focus on getting Annie and Lily a good home they deserve!
