Little Mel was dumped as a 4 month-old baby at Muzium Negara. Next to malnourishment and bleeding wounds Mel was diagnosed with hernia. She had to undergo surgery and endure a several weeks long recovery period. She managed splendidly!
Today, Mel has turned into an active and playful girl who has taught herself to fetch small rubber balls. When tired from play, she will come to curl up and sleep on your lap. Every day, the little sunshine takes first place in finishing her food before any of our adult kitties.
Her roommate and best friend Teddy is looking lovingly after her, and at the same time teaching her proper cat behaviour. The 2 are so attached that we would prefer to not separate them, if a new cat parent's heart is big enough for for 2.
