Toto was from a backyard breeder along with his sister. The breeder no longer wanted him or his sister and had listed them for sale on Mudah. He was fostered by another family while I took his sister but he did not get along with their dogs so I took him in. Unfortunately my older dog does not get along with him either.
He is a 2 year old Silky Terrier that has been nursed from 3.8kg+ to currently 4.8kg after being with me for two months. He’s completed his vaccinations and is scheduled for neutering on the 24th of January.
He grew up in a dirty metal cage and was not house trained, he also has separation anxiety and has difficulty being left alone. He will howl and whine if isolated. We have made much progress with his toilet training and he will run out to the balcony or garden to poop. He will do well in a landed home with a garden and with a dog friend to keep him company. He gets along with dogs and cats but most male dogs do not like him. Possibly because he is young and un-neutered. He also had a habit of marking indoors with other male dogs in the house, but that has improved greatly and should be resolved after his neutering.
We are looking for a home that is experienced with training dogs, can be patient and loving in rehabilitating a dog with a traumatic background. He is very manja and will stick to your side quietly, very suitable for retired couples or people looking for a constant companion. He is loyal and loving. If you’re looking for a sweet but slightly dumb dog this is the one for you. He does not bark at strangers or any intruders into the house, not suitable as a guard dog. He is friendly to strangers and will stand up to be carried if you’re a girl. He will run and hide if you’re not a girl. He is good with children 6 years and above.
We are looking for a family that can commit to meeting us once in a while at a park or pet cafe so that he may meet his sister as he is strongly bonded to her.
Please only email me if you can fulfil all of the above requirements and we will get back to you.
