Meet Violet - our TNR-fail who was smart enough to find us and demand the loving home she deserves!
Let’s step back in time a couple of months. Violet was found wandering in the car park of one of our wonderful adopters who lives in the same area as a few of our team. Violet was extremely friendly and was jumping into people’s cars for attention! Assuming she may be pregnant, Catherine got in touch with us for advice, and we helped to organise spaying - at the time we were at full capacity and could not take in another adult cat, let alone a whole litter of kittens with mum. So we kept her indoors for recover then placed her back in her territory with the intention to continue feeding and checking on her.
Violet disappeared after a couple of days.
Fast forward 3 weeks and a tabby cat turned up in the garden of one of our team. She was meowing to come inside and was immediately asking for cuddles and pets. Our teammate had allowed her inside thinking she was a new neighbourhood stray who needed to be TNRed, but upon further inspection, her ear was tipped indicating she had already been spayed… and wait! This was the exact same cat as the one TNRed at the condo a 15 minute cat-walk away! How had Violet found us!?
Well, a smart cat like that had well and truly earned herself a home. Despite being over-capacity, we found temporary space for Violet in a bathroom and luckily, 2 weeks later Dino was adopted and his amazing foster agreed to take Violet in. Everything fell into place for Violet and she is ready to find a home who will appreciate her cuddles and loyalty.
Violet can be integrated with another cat, but would prefer to be centre of attention in a solo home (she can get a bit jealous of other feline friends).
